"IT" is a two-part horror film series based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. The story revolves around a malevolent entity known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, who terrorizes the fictional town of Derry, Maine, every 27 years.

"IT: Chapter One":

The first film is set in the summer of 1989 and follows a group of seven misfit children who call themselves the "Losers' Club." They all become friends after being targeted individually by Pennywise. The main characters include Bill Denbrough, whose younger brother Georgie was killed by Pennywise, Beverly Marsh, the only girl in the group who faces abuse at home, Richie Tozier, the witty and outspoken member, Ben Hanscom, the overweight new kid in town, Eddie Kaspbrak, a hypochondriac, Stanley Uris, a cautious and fearful individual, and Mike Hanlon, an African-American boy who faces racism.

The Losers' Club begins to experience terrifying encounters with Pennywise, who often takes the form of their worst fears. They discover that Pennywise is an ancient evil entity that awakens every few decades to prey on the children of Derry. Determined to stop the clown, they venture into the sewers where IT resides and face their deepest fears, eventually defeating IT temporarily.

"IT: Chapter Two":

The second film is set 27 years later, in 2016. The members of the Losers' Club, now adults, have moved away from Derry and built lives for themselves. However, they receive a phone call from Mike Hanlon, the only member who stayed in Derry, informing them that IT has returned and children are once again disappearing.

Reluctantly, the Losers' Club reunites and returns to Derry to honor their childhood oath to defeat Pennywise once and for all. They realize that they have forgotten much about their past encounters with Pennywise due to a curse surrounding the town. To defeat IT, they must retrieve their memories and face their deepest fears once again.

As the Losers' Club confronts their traumas and battles Pennywise, they discover the power of their unity and friendship. They learn that Pennywise thrives on fear and can be defeated if they believe in themselves. With each member overcoming their fears, they manage to weaken Pennywise and ultimately destroy the clown-like creature, freeing Derry from its grip.

The story ends with the Losers' Club bidding farewell to each other, having conquered their fears and childhood demons. They vow to always remember their time together and remain friends.
